August 5, 2015: Proposal Submission Date for the next round of Proposal Review has been extended.

The submission date for Proposals for the next round of ACEP has been extended to October 1, 2025. The next round of evaluations for the ACEP Program will take place in November 2015. 

April 23, 2015: 15 Aboriginal Communities Successful under the Aboriginal Community Energy Plan (ACEP) Program in Q1.

The IESO continues to support First Nation and Métis participation in Ontario’s energy sector and in has approved an additional 15 ACEP Proposals in Q1. These new 15 Aboriginal communities will join the already 22 successful ACEP applicants involving 29 participating Aboriginal communities, including remote, northern and southern First Nations.  The updated list of successful communities to date under ACEP is available here. October 30, 2014: Aboriginal Community Energy Plan (ACEP) Program Now Accepting Proposals

A community energy plan is a comprehensive long-term plan to improve energy efficiency, reduce electricity consumption and assess opportunities for clean energy solutions. 

The OPA is pleased to announce that the ACEP program is now open and accepting Proposals for two streams:

In May 2014, the OPA approved 22 ACEP proposals involving 29 participating Aboriginal communities, including remote, northern and southern First Nations.  The list of successful communities to date is available here. A map showing the location of these communities is available here.
