Ontario Power Generation is a provincially owned company that controls and operates almost 70 percent of Ontario's electricity generation capacity through a combination of nuclear, hydroelectric and fossil fuel facilities. Bruce Power

Bruce Power is Canada's first private nuclear generating company and owns almost 20 percent of Ontario's generation capacity. It is located on the shores of Lake Huron between the towns of Kincardine and Saugeen.
 

Independent Electricity Generators

Independent electricity generators can range in size of generation capacity and type of fuel (primarily renewable). They may be contracted under the province's Renewable Energy Standard Offer Program (RESOP), the FIT Program and microFIT Program, or through other procurements under government directive.
